1969 VOL. 1
Legend Zeppelin - 1969 Live, Vol. 1
5 songs recorded live and pressed to 140-gram 12" vinyl, captured directly from the soundboard tape. This is the first official vinyl release from Legend Zeppelin and the opening installment in an ongoing chronological document of Led Zeppelin’s live evolution.
1969 Live, Vol. 1 represents the earliest era of the band’s touring history. As each new period in the timeline unfolds, a curated selection of performances from the previous era will be preserved and released across a growing series of LPs — allowing listeners to experience the live catalog as a moving, historical record rather than a static “greatest hits” presentation.
Featuring staples from Led Zeppelin’s earliest tours, this release delivers raw, electric performances with the immediacy only soundboard recordings can provide. From the Johnny Burnette & the Rock ’n Roll Trio opener “Train Kept A-Rollin’” to the expansive, exploratory medley “As Long As I Have You” (Garnett Mimms), the energy, risk, and musicianship of the era are fully on display. Each record also includes a 11" × 11" insert featuring custom artwork and a write-up of the group.
